It’s almost Halloween so why not subject yourself to panic and horror at Tamalpais Valley’s Haunted House titled The Darkness: What You Can’t See Can Hurt You. Conveniently enough for families with little, easily scared kiddos this haunted house has different tour times designated for varying levels of fright. This Saturday you can go to the “Not Scary At All” tour from 3-4:30 p.m. or the “Scary” tour from 5-6:30 p.m. And for the uber brave and hard to scare folks you can take a stroll through the “Horrifying” tour from 7:30-9 p.m. For just $5, see how the Tamalpais Community Center turned into the perfect place for ghouls, ghosts, and gravesites.

FALL OPEN HOUSE AND PICNIC

The Headlands Center for the Arts hosts an open house just three times a year, taking visitors for a closer look at its Artist in Residence program. This Sunday, take a trip to the backcountry of the Marin Headlands to observe the creative processes of artists of all kind and appreciate the landscape with a fresh perspective during artist-led hikes. EVENING OF SOUL
