Saturday, August 25. Learn to Salsa
Looking to do something new this weekend? Why not learn to salsa and make a ton of new friends in the process! Cocomo hosts the best Live Salsa Music in the greater San Francisco Bay Area every week, with Salsa Dancing and group Salsa Dance Lessons. Happy hour commences at 7 p.m. with $3 beers and $4 cocktails to get you nice and loose by the time the class starts. The Salsa class starts at 8 p.m. and the live band kicks off at 10 p.m., keeping you dancing into the early hours of the morning. The cost is $15. From 7 p.m. @ Cafe Cocomo, 672 Indiana Street.

Saturday, August 26. Make Your Own Sculpture
Families are invited to experience a new adventure in art making free with admission to the Contemporary Jewish Museum. As always, the hands-on fun inspires children to learn more about the exhibitions on display in the galleries, the building’s architecture, or holidays and traditions while experimenting with materials and art techniques. Using recycled and upcycled materials, participants will be able to create their own 3-dimensional work of art inspired by some of the exhibits in the museum. The sculpture making is free with regular admission to the museum ($10 for adults, $10 for students). From 1-3 p.m. @ The Contemporary Jewish Museum, 736 Mission Street.

Sunday, August 26. See OK GO at Stern Grove
Every summer for 75 years, Stern Grove Festival has fulfilled its long-standing mission to make the arts accessible to all with its presentation of stellar performing arts events in one of the country’s most beautiful natural settings, completely free of admission. Hopefully the fog stays away as OK GO, known for their viral videos and quirky sound and The Family Crest close the 75th Season in celebratory style. The concert kicks off at 2:00pm in Sigmund Stern Grove located @ 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard.
