"I've always wanted to have a beach wedding, but I also wanted it to look very classic and timeless," says Jessica Dinh, who wed her sweetheart, Chris DiVecchio (she met him on Bumble, he proposed in Hawaii), at the stylish Cape Hotel in Cabo San Lucas.
The couple went for a clean, all-white aesthetic with the hopes that one day, when they look back at their wedding photos, they'll still love the decor. And their glamorous bash overlooking the ocean couldn't have been any more romantic.
An elegant geometric arch garlanded in white flowers anchored the ceremony scene, and ghost chairs created a minimalist look, allowing the seaside landscape to shine—no need for any extravagant decor.
Classic was the name of the game when choosing their wardrobes for the big day: The bride wore a sparkling floor-length gown, the groom donned a handsome tux.
At the reception, long white and glass-topped tables where set with more clear chairs, white pillar candles, and more white florals in textured vases. A hint of sparkle came from the bubble-edge plates and silverware. Playing up the beach-glam theme, string lights overhead added a touch of warmth, along with the chandeliers. "It made the setting so romantic," says Dinh.
For those planning a destination wedding, Dinh recommends, "Do yourself a favor and get a wedding planner if it's in the budget. It's the best money spent other than the photographer and videographer. Most people have never thrown a wedding, so all the elements and details are important. There's so much, you should leave it to an expert to keep you less stressed during this stressful time."
