Ashley Henry and Joseph Pelej wanted just three simple things: beers, brats, and music—and their wedding in South Lake Tahoe served up this and more.
The bride, adorned with a flower crown, arrived on the scene in a Clydesdale-drawn carriage, and the pair said I do beneath a rustic arch adorned with wild blooms including eucalyptus, black foot daisies, and cattails.
To celebrate their nine years of love, the bride and groom let loose in a laid-back ceremony on the waterfront at Lake Tahoe, and they kept it short and sweet, ready to get the party started. But first, a frolic in the woods for sun-soaked, forested portraits before joining their friends and family and a down-to-earth beer garden bash at Tahoe's Basecamp Hotel.
Reminiscent of a mini music festival, the reception included a live gypsy band playing in front of a vintage Airstream while the bride showed off her moves and played a cow bell. Wooden picnic tables bloomed with potted succulents, and string lights set the mood. For an added bit of sweetness, they served mixed berry hand pies for dessert.
