Caitlin Young and Chris Quvus came all the way from New York to play out the fantasy wedding of their dreams, bouncing from the redwoods of Guerneville down to Shell Beach for wining and feasting befitting a lord and lady in Sonoma.
The couple began their wedding day as a couple should: sipping Champagne with their people and exchanging sweet notes and gifts. Then Young changed out of her lace robe and into her Khaleesi-inspired dress—pleated, with a plunging front and ribbon-tied back—designed by Tatyana Merenyuk, and topped her her loose, side swept braid with a flower crown. She carried an eclectic arrangement of exotic florals including dramatic pink and orange protea. Quvus, sharply dressed in a blue checked three-piece suit, sported a floral tie to match his bride.
They held a casual ceremony perched on the cliffs overlooking the ocean. To let the setting shine, they opted for no arch—just a simple table with their ceremony items, and blankets and a few chairs for their loved ones. Walking across an eden of blooming florals, the pair had their hands tied together with a braided cloth, read their own vows, and exchanged rings.
Afterwards, they drove away in their red Mustang convertible, top down with a "Just Married" banner flowing in the wind. Meanwhile, their guests piled into a rented bus for everyone to experience Sonoma's vast countryside and vineyards. Instead of a formal reception, they celebrated at two wineries, toasting to the next chapter in their lives with all of their favorite people.
