Jennifer Partridge and Steven Sanchez first met as teenagers. But with the on-again off-again nature of most high school relationships, they lost touch after graduation. Five years later, with the help of their good friend Facebook, they reconnected—and fell in love all over again.
Another seven years later, and Steven was ready to start a new chapter. He took Jennifer to lunch at a diner overlooking the Sutro Baths and had it all planned out: They would walk down to a large rock, he'd encourage Jennifer climb it, and then he'd ask her to marry him. But San Francisco weather intervened: The unaccommodating cold quickly got in the way, and foiled Steven's plan. They spent the day over ice cream at the Ferry Building, boba in Chinatown, and piña coladas at Tonga Room; finally, at Top of The Mark, Steven popped the question as the sun went down. No spoiler—she said yes.
The couple's big day took place last August on the porch of Mountain View's 150-year-old historic Rengstorff House, its pristine Victorian Italianate architecture setting the tone for an elegant wedding.
