Two gorgeous, iconic venues and three drop-dead bridal gown changes to match?
Oh yeah, the San Francisco wedding of Keting Su and Shengkun Yang had all the urban glamour.
The traditional ceremony took place in Nob Hill's Grace Cathedral—a grande dame of an architectural icon that requires zero added fluff. The couple said I do beneath its soaring Gothic-style ceilings and ornate stained glass windows, surrounded by their bridesmaids—dressed in rose-colored A-line frocks and carrying simple bouquets of calla lilies—and groomsmen, in charcoal gray suits.
The bride let her inner fashion goddess loose with three dramatic wardrobe changes: a romantic white lace gown with tiered strands of beads dangling down a low back; a fiery crimson number to pay tribute to her Chinese heritage; and gold sequined evening gown for the dance party at the Fairmont. Each look was teamed with the same floral headpiece.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds took the party across the way to the historic Fairmont Hotel for photo ops in the majestic penthouse Spanish Suite before the reception. The party room was swathed in a summery palette, and ivory roses and orchids, with pops of yellow and blush, stood in towering glass centerpieces. On the dessert table, amid a parade of sweet treats, sat a three-tiered cake topped with cascading orchids.
The rest of the night was wrapped up in fun and games as guests joined in on trivia about the couple—winners received red envelop with money inside in a nod to Chinese culture. The bride performed a dance with her leading ladies and then they played the shoe game; everyone took turns in the photo booth for a sweet memento to take home.
