Traci and Kory Nowakowski's wedding at Woodside's Thomas Fogarty Winery had all the makings of a poppin' bash: rustic decor, fried chicken and cupcakes, and a bride in cowboy boots.
The kept it cool during their pre-wedding hours, each getting a little buzzed with their wedding party. But when it came time to get ready, it was on: She donned a floor-length tulle gown with intricate lace and bead detailing; he sported a natty navy blue windowpane-check suit. The bride wore boots; the groom, dapper oxfords.
Accents of autumn were everywhere at the outdoor ceremony, with massive floral arrangements of crimson, pale pink, and leafy blooms topping wooden barrels and complementing the surrounding golden vineyards and fallen leaves. The aisle was lined with buckets of baby's breath and rose petals, and the couple said "I do" before frolicking through the vineyards.
At the reception, two instructively decorated windowpanes led guests to their tables, and centerpieces in wooden vases added colorful accents. Linens were kept simple—white tablecloths and lavender napkins with names tied to them.
Speeches were made, drinks were had, and when everyone took to the dance floor, they couldn't help but notice the Uber driver who had crashed the party but made up for it with some serious dance moves. For cake and dessert, the lovebirds set out an array of bundt cakes; sparklers were lit; and guests took home mini potted succulents.
