Annual Poolside Party at Auberge du Soleil
What: Summer = pool parties! Celebrate all things summer this weekend with a pool party at Auberge du Soleil, a luxury hotel and spa resort (with a Michelin-star restaurant) in Napa Valley. Executive Chef Robert Curry will be preparing his favorite seasonal dishes as you get your groove on to summer tunes spun by their house DJ. There will also be refreshing cocktails by Charbay and local hand-crafted brews from Mad Fritz. Tickets are $95 per person.

Tenderloin Queer History Walking Tour & Kickoff Reception
What: This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Compton's Cafeteria Riot, a historic night in 1966 that saw drag queens, trans sex workers, and gay street hustlers rise up against police harassment. The Tenderloin Museum has teamed up with the GLBT History Museum to host a series of programs commemorating the riot. The first event will be an hour-long, LGBTQ history walking tour through the Tenderloin followed by a reception at the Tenderloin Museum where trans historian and award-winning documentary filmmaker Susan Stryker and original "screaming queen" Felicia Elizondo will speak briefly to mark the occasion. The walking-tour is $5, the reception party is free.

4th Annual Bark (& Meow) Adopt-a-Thon
What: Hosted by Berkeley Humane, this adopt-a-thon will have over 100 animals available for adoption from more than 20 Bay Area rescues, plus a street fair with great food, beverages, entertainment and activities! A total of 135 adoptions were made last year, and their goal for this year is to surpass that number. The event is free to attend and adoption fees will be reduced or waived.

What: This Sunday is National Ice Cream Day and Fentons Creamery will be hosting a Candy Land-themed party in honor of the national holiday and their 122nd anniversary. The historic ice cream parlor will be offering a price rollback on their Black & Tan Junior sundae from $9.25 to just $1.22! Plus, they'll be bringing in a DJ, face painting, and of course free ice cream sampling!

The Mexican Museum Holds Historic Dedication Ceremony at its New Home
What: The Mexican Museum is holding a dedication ceremony and cornerstone presentation event to mark the culmination of decades of work by hundreds of community and local government stakeholders and to celebrate the new facility in the Yerba Buena Gardens Art District. Appearances include mayor Ed Lee, Nancy Pelosi and boxing world champion Julio César Chávez.
