Cotogna @ FOG Design + Art Fair 

The annual FOG Design + Art fair is a platform for contemporary design and art stars; but this year, they're adding a little Italian fare to the marquee. From January 15 through January 18, Cotogna will operate a full-service restaurant at the Fort Mason Festival Pavilion as part of San Francisco's annual FOG Design + Art Fair. Said restaurant will feature communal seating and a menu showcasing chef Michael Tusk’s rustic fare, including a mozzarella antipasti bar, soups and salads, sandwiches, and fried chicken, while a full bar will serve wine, beer, and specialty custom cocktails. Comedy Returns to El Rio 

Now in its 6th year, El Rio's monthly comedy series (every 3rd Thursday) features an eclectic mix of local comedians. This month's lineup features: Charlie Ballard, Francesca Fiorentini, Sampson McCormick, Bobby Golden, and Lisa Geduldig. Miranda July With City Arts + Lectures 

Filmmaker, artist, and author Miranda July is known for her off beat and independent short films and performance art. If you've never heard of her, you must be living under the Earth's crust: Her videos, performances, and web-based projects have been presented at the Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim Museum, and in two Whitney Biennials. Her fiction has appeared in The Paris Review, Harper’s, and The New Yorker. In 2005, July starred in and directed her first feature-length film, Me and You and Everyone We Know (which is now on Netflix, so go watch it tonight), and in 2001, she wrote and starred in The Future.  She published her first collection of stories, No One Belongs Here More Than You, in 2007 and the main attraction, The First Bad Man, is her debut novel. 14th Annual SF Sketchfest

The 14th annual SF Sketchfest features major comedy stars and the best up-and-coming comedians from around the world for nonstop entertainment. This year’s line up includes and a Princess Bride quote along, NPR’s "Ask Me Another," Sasheer Zamata and Nicole Byer, StarTalk Radio LIVE, Julie Brown’s The Homecoming Queen’s Got A Musical, Phil Hendrie, John Hodgman, Moshe Kasher, Brian McCann, Morgan Murphy, Maya Rudoph, Kristen Schaal, Adam Scott, Jenny Slate, Paul F. Tompkins, Harland Williams, Justin Willman, and over seven hundred more performers! Thursday, January 22 — Sunday, February 8. See the full lineup here.
