Fantastic Negrito Plays the Bill Graham with Temple of the Dog
WHAT: Fantastic Negrito, the critically acclaimed project of Bay Area frontman/songwriter Xavier Dphrepaulezz, is bringing their unique fusion of blues, soul, roots and rock to the Bill Graham this weekend. Expect to hear songs from the band's debut full-length LP The Last Days of Oakland, which tackles the socioeconomic, race and class issues he witnesses while living in the East Bay. Based on the extensive critical acclaim the album has received from a range of publications including The New York Times, The Guardian, and Slate, you won't want to miss Fantastic Negrito's two-night showing in SF.

The Color Run
WHAT: Head north this weekend for Color Run's Tropicolor World Tour, an island-themed 5k with a sweet rainbow beach at the finish line and a fresh island-style participant kit. It's not too late to register; the $45 "classic kit" includes entry to the color run, a Tropicolor race shirt, embroidered headband, finisher's ribbon, and color packet and tattoos. Grab your tropical gear, your friends, and your running shoes!

Winter '16 West Coast Craft
WHAT: Hit up the festival pavilion at Fort Mason this weekend to shop the best and brightest artists and designer craftsmen and women from around the Bay Area as they kick off the holiday season. The bi-annual craft show will feature 250+ exhibits of handmade and manufactured products influenced by the cultural and natural histories of the West Coast.

Jolly Day at Drake's Brewing Co.
WHAT: Jolly Day marks the release of Drake's seasonal Jolly Rodger Imperial Dark Ale, available November through January. For more than two decades, Drake's has brewed a totally new beer every year for Jolly Rodger. This year's version is made with a hearty concoction of specialty malts, candy sugar, and an especially aromatic yeast strain with comforting notes of caramel, baking spice, and sun-dried raisins. There will be a Caribbean jerk feast at the event as well. Go dressed as a pirate for a chance to win some Drake's loot. A $15 ticket gets you two 16-oz pours of 2016 Jolly Rodger. Bottles of Jolly Rodgers from years past will also be available for purchase.

MINA Test Kitchen Pop-up: Postcards from La Costiera
WHAT: The newest pop-up in Chef Michael Mina's rotating test kitchen will be a coastal Italian concept inspired by Chefs Mina and Adam Sobel's fall trip to Italy. Highlighting the abundance of seafood from the Italian waterways, Chef Sobel's menu will be composed of crudos, shellfish, pastas and whole fish served family-style. Tickets are $65 per person for the five-course menu with supplemental courses available for an additional price and optional wine pairings available for $40. The new pop-up premiers on Saturday but will be open for multiple months, so don't worry if you can't get a reservation right away.

Beauty and the Beast at Berkeley Playhouse
WHAT: Berkeley Playhouse is bringing Beauty and the Beast to the stage this holiday season, from November 12 through December 23. Artistic director Kimberly Dooley helms this all new production featuring a diverse and multigenerational cast. Berkeley Playhouse is also partnering with Oakland's East Bay Children's Book Project, whose mission is to build literacy by putting books into the hands of children who have little or no access to them. Book receptacles from the EBCBP will be placed in the lobby of the theater, so don't forget to bring new or gently used books for donation.
