Art in a Glass at 1760
When Christopher Longoria uses the cocktail bar as his artist's palette and lets his adventurous palate guide his hand, he creates art in a glass. His summer cocktail offerings at 1760 feature unusual flavor and color combinations that look - and taste - like masterpieces. We're currently crushing on the Carrot and Chinato cocktail, a vividly-hued combination of Pimms No. 1, Angostura, Dimmi, and rum, garnished with a sprinkling of purple petals and a wispy sprig of green. // 1760 Polk St. (Nob Hill), 1760sf.com
Safety Third Party at Black Hammer Brewing
As they say on the Playa, "First fun, then fashion. Safety third." Black Hammer Brewing is bringing the same "Playatude" to its first birthday party, slated for Friday night. Expect fire spinners, live DJs, beer-related raffles, and blush-inducing treats from Pink n' Moist Cakes, all served up fresh and frisky with Black Hammer's craft beer. The party starts at 8pm, and there's no cover charge, so it's sort of like Black Rock City, but without the art cars. Feel free to bring your dog, your kids, and your outside food, 'cuz that's how they roll. // 544 Bryant St. (South Park), blackhammerbrewing.com
Marin French Cheese Company Hosts Summer Picnic
