Itinerary Inspiration
Start your adventure in the Delta region of Clarksburg where lush vineyards stretch along the Sacramento River, producing exceptional wines that reflect the cool breezes and fertile soils of the Delta. Just in time for a late lunch, grab a sandwich at a local deli and make your way north through the Dunnigan Hills for views of the Coast Range and tasting rooms planted throughout. Wind down the day in the beloved small town of Winters, where you can grab a great dinner and get a restful night’s sleep. The next day, walk downtown to Winters' winery tasting rooms. Later, head to the fertile Capay Valley, full full of produce, farms, and wineries. All weekend, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of vineyards, olive groves, wildflowers, and golden fields.
Mark your calendar for the Yolo County Wine Ramble (April 26-27), a two-day event where you'll experience the best of Yolo County wineries. Go for vineyard tours, wine pairing dinners, food trucks, wine specials, and live music. And since most of their tasting rooms here are pet-friendly, kid-friendly or picnic-friendly, there is an outdoor space for everyone to explore.
The Wine Ramble saves on tasting fees, allowing you to spend more on the wine you'll pick up to take home and enjoy year-round.
