Set in Spain, SF Ballet's rendition of Miguel de Cervantes' lighthearted and comedic story will wow you with its technically-demanding dancing, beautiful scenery, and exquisite costumes. Pakledinaz has traditionally designed for theater and opera, but considers the theatrical forms alike to dance.
"Of course, the physicality of dance is its own important thing. We’re constantly trying to figure out a way to show the historic perspective and yet still help the dancers be as flexible and as comfortable as possible,” Pakledinaz noted.
Don Quixote runs April 27 - May 6 at the War Memorial, 401 Van Ness Ave (at Grove). Buy tickets here.
